Capturing the Essence of Georgie’s Business: A Behind-the-Scenes Look

Introduction Working as a brand story photographer means I get the privilege of partnering with incredible entrepreneurs, helping them translate their vision into imagery that resonates with their audience. Recently, I had the honor of working with Georgie Durcan, a transformational life coach known as The Soul Coach . Her journey, energy, and passion were nothing short of inspiring I want to share the story behind our three photography sessions and the magic we created together.

The Vision Georgie approached me with a clear goal: she wanted photographs that embodied the heart and soul of her business - herself and her own personal story, the work she does and the events she runs. As we discussed her brand’s identity, values, and purpose, it became clear that warmth, professionalism and empowerment were at the core of everything she does. My role was to bring those elements to life visually.

What Georgie Says About Her Business “My business is a life coaching/healing business where I connect people to their true selves and help them manifest a life they love. I help people feel more content in life and be able to trust their own intuition so they live life with an inner peace and safety. I started it as I had suffered with mental health in my late teens/early 20’s and didn’t have support available to me. I want people to see that there is a way out of their pain and suffering and that they can manifest a life they dream of. I want people to have hope.”

Planning the Shoot Every session begins with a brand story clarity call and Georgie’s was no exception. We spent time brainstorming locations, props, and outfits that reflected her brand story. The locations included my natural light studio, out and about near the sea and the stunning Amo & Pax studio where Georgie hosts her Soul Circle Events. Together, we crafted a plan to ensure every shot captured her essence and aligned seamlessly with her marketing goals.

Georgie

“I needed to feel like what I was sharing on Instagram and on my website captured me as my true self which I knew Eva would do.

Why have a professional shoot I want people get a feel for who I am and the energy that I bring to my work. I wanted my business to feel clear and that people would know that this work matters to me, investing in professional photos is one way to show how seriously I treat my work.”

The Day of the Shoot On the day of the shoot, Georgie arrived with some key items we discussed in advance, some of her favourites things including her Head plan notebook, Be Kind Incense and her beautiful meditation pillow created by Up Cushions . It was clear she was ready to shine! As we began, I focused on creating a relaxed atmosphere, allowing her natural confidence to come through. I provide professional hair and make up services at the studio but Georgie decided to do it herself and created a gorgeous natural glowy look.

Her Experience Working With Me “Eva made me feel so relaxed. I don’t like getting photographs done, I hate posing and feel so not me, but her natural gifts behind the camera enabled me to relax and be me, and that shows in the finished product. I feel when I am looking at the photos that it is me, and then others can feel the realness from them. The final edits and the way she captures what matters to me and my brand, who I am, and what I am trying to convey is priceless. I didn’t need to force anything; she naturally knew how to capture who I am and the message I was trying to convey. She intuitively knew what was important to capture, and then her expertise wraps it up in all the photos.”

Bringing the Brand to Life Throughout the session, we explored various setups and scenarios, each one telling a different part of her story. From candid shots of "Georgie at work - the podcaster, coach, event faciliatory and sea lover" to portraits that highlighted her collaborations with other brands.

The Final Result When I delivered the final images, Georgie’s reaction was priceless. She shared how the photographs captured her business’s essence in a way she’d never seen before and most importantly captured her in a way she felt proud to share.

The Impact of the Photos “The feedback from clients and the media press publications has been amazing. They have commented on how great the photos are as they are so professional and can be used in publicity. I have used them in magazines, newspaper articles, on podcast advertising, and all over social media. The mix of photos I got gave me so much scope to use in so many avenues.”

Why It Matters This session wasn’t just about creating beautiful images; it was about empowering Georgie with tools to tell her story authentically. That’s the magic of brand story photography—it’s about more than visuals; it’s about helping businesses declare their identity and purpose to the world.

Conclusion Working with Georgie was a reminder of why I love what I do. Every entrepreneur has a unique story, and being trusted to capture that story is an honor I don’t take lightly. If you’re ready to bring your brand’s story to life, let’s connect. Together, we’ll create imagery that not only reflects your purpose but also resonates with those you aim to inspire.
